  1. Click the Windows icon in the bottom left of your screen to open the Start menu. Select Settings. Select Devices.
    • Click the Windows icon in the bottom left of your screen to open the Start menu.

    • Select Settings.

    • Select Devices.

    • Select Printers & scanners.

  2. Uncheck the box next to Let Windows manage my default printer. Left-click the appropriate printer and choose Manage. Select Set as default.
    • Uncheck the box next to Let Windows manage my default printer.

    • Left-click the appropriate printer and choose Manage.

    • Select Set as default.

    • Confirm that the change has been made.
